Colombia - Wilder Lazo / Geisha
Coffee blossom, Limoncello & Vanilla
Wilder Lazo is a talented coffee farmer in Huila, Colombia who focuses a lot on developing new techniques and processes. At his first Geisha Microlot he cupped the coffees by physical character: larger “typical” Geisha beans, smaller shaped beans and trees with different leaf shapes. He took seeds from only the bigger ones and found out, that their taste is more floral and lemongrassy. The smallest Geisha beans had more vanilla-driven sweet flavors and the ones in between were the fruitiest one. So, what he did is specializing every year more his microlots and planted seeds of his favorite coffee bushes in the new farm: Bella Alejandría. What you are holding in your hands is basically result of bio engineering paired with coffee-love.
